Make your kitchen ready for the Holidays with this mini-C2C crochet Nordic Christmas Potholder.

Choose your favorite cotton yarn in lively Christmas colors and enjoy making this cute Nordic-style snowflake potholder for the holidays.
Is C2C good enough for Potholders?
You know that I am a big fan of kitchen decor and I like crocheting potholders that are actually useful in the kitchen.
I really won’t make anything that has gaps and holes in it.
However, as you know, corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet can be quite loose and have some gaps in between the blocks.
So, where’s the deal? Is this just a decorating potholder? Well, no, it’s not!

To make sure that this potholder would be nice and compact, I used a couple of tricks:
- I used the mini C2C stitch instead of the regular C2C. This means that each block is worked with half double crochet stitches instead of double crochet.
- To make sure that the potholder won’t have any holes or gaps between the mini-C2C blocks, I only used a ch-1 before each set of half double crochets.
- Go down in hook size! If you see that your stitches are too loose, just try a smaller hook.
Are you New TO MINI-C2C CROCHET?
If you’re new to C2C crochet, I have a couple of tutorials (+videos!) that can help you with:
- Learning the basics on how to crochet the mini-C2C stitch;
- How to change colors and carry yarn in mini-C2C.
