- DK (3, Light) Weight Cotton Yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.

GAUGE
6 rounds in dc in 4″ (10 cm).
PATTERN NOTES
- One side of the potholder is worked by doing tapestry crochet in the round. Carry the unused yarn inside your sts at all times.
- If the pattern says “dc 2”, it means that you have to crochet 1 dc into each of the next 2 sts.
- (…) – Repeat the instruction within brackets for the indicated number of times.
- […] – Crochet the instructions within brackets all into the same indicated st.
- The potholder and all its parts are crocheted in consecutive rounds.
- Join each round with a slip stitch into the first st of the round.

Christmas Peppermint Potholder – Free Crochet Pattern
(Make 2)
Work in dc tapestry crochet!
With A, make a MC.
Round 1. Ch 2 (does NOT count as a st here and in the rest of the pattern), ((A) dc 1, (B) dc 1) 6 times in ring, join. (12 dc)
Round 2. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, (B) dc inc 1) 6 times, join. (24 dc)
Round 3. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 1, (B) dc inc 1, dc 1) 6 times, join. (36 dc)
Round 4. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 2, (B) dc inc 1, dc 2) 6 times, join. (48 dc)
Round 5. Ch 1, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 3, (B) dc inc 1, dc 3) 6 times, join. (60 dc)
Round 6. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 4, (B) dc inc 1, dc 4) 6 times, join. (72 dc)
Round 7. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 5, (B) dc inc 1, dc 5) 6 times, join. (84 dc)
Round 8. Ch 2, ((A) dc inc 1, dc 6, (B) dc inc 1, dc 6) 6 times, join. (96 dc)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
Assembly
Place potholders on top of each other with both RS facing out.
Join B in BLO of any dc. Join potholders by sl st the inner loops together all around.
Once you get back to the joining st, make a hanging loop as follows.
Hanging Loop. Ch 25, turn, sk 1, sl st into next st. Ch 1, turn, sc 25 inside the loop.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
