Materials

  • 2.75-mm (C/2 USA, 12 UK) Crochet Hook
  • DK (3, Light) Yarn
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Stuffing
  • 2 Safety Eyes, 6 mm

Snowman Bauble Amigurumi – Free Crochet Pattern

Bauble

With white, crochet a bauble following the pattern of the Simple Christmas Bauble HERE, placing the safety eyes between rounds 11 and 12 at 7 sts of distance.

Nose

With orange, make a MC.

Round 1. Sc 6 in MC. (6 sts)

Round 2. Sc around. (6 sts)

Round 3. (Sc 2, sc inc 1) twice. (8 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail, and make an invisible join.

Cheeks

(Make 2)

With pink, make a MC.

Round 1. Sc 6 in MC. (6 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail, and make an invisible join.

Hat

With dark brown or black, make a MC.

Round 1. Sc 6 in MC. (6 sts)

Round 2. Sc inc 6. (12 sts)

Round 3. (Sc inc 1, sc 1) 6 times. (18 sts)

Round 4. Sc 1, (sc inc 1, sc 2) 5 times, sc inc 1, sc 1. (24 sts)

Round 5. (Sc inc 1, sc 3) 6 times. (30 sts)

Round 6. Sc 2, (sc inc 1, sc 4) 5 times, sc inc 1, sc 2. (36 sts)

Round 7. Third-loop sc around. (36 sts)

Round 8-12 (5 rounds). Sc around. (36 sts)

Round 13. (FLO sc inc 1, FLO sc 5) 6 times. (42 sts)

Round 14. Sc 3, (sc inc 1, sc 6) 5 times, sc inc 1, sc 3. (48 sts)

Round 15. (Sc inc 1, sc 7) 6 times. (54 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing, and make an invisible join. Then, weave the tail through the sts until the free loops of round 12.

Hat Band

With red, ch 42.

Row 1. From the second ch from hook, sc in each ch. (41 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Holly Leaves and Berry

With light or dark green, crochet 2 small holly leaves following the pattern HERE.

With red, crochet 1 large holly berry following the pattern HERE.

Hat Assembly

Sew the hat band to the hat just above round 13.

Cover the joining point of the hat band by sewing the holly leaves and berry over it.

Fasten off and weave in your ends (with the exception of the brown yarn tail!).

Snowman Bauble Assembly

Pin the nose in the center just below the eyes, and the cheeks on the side of the eyes, and sew.

Pin the hat in place on top of the bauble and sew it to using the free loops of round 12 of the hat. Before completing the round, add a little stuffing inside the hat.

With a length of black, embroider the mouth. Finally, weave in all your ends.
