Crochet a mini butterfly or bee Amigurumi with this free pattern and make the cutest stuffed animal toy for your kids, baby mobiles, baby loveys, and so much more!
This pattern has been a long time in the making and after a few adjustments and some little tweaks, it’s finally ready!
The nice thing about crocheting this bee/butterfly Amigurumi is that the body does not require any seaming. So, it would be one of those no-seam Amigurumi patterns had it not been for the wings, arms, and antlers. Eheh!
But the seaming that you’ll have to do is minimal and the result is totally worth the effort.
You can crochet your butterfly or bee Amigurumi using any yarn weight that you might have in your stash with the appropriate hook size. I tried DK and Aran-weight yarn, and further below, you’ll find the size of the Amigurumi that I got.
Even with Aran-weight yarn, your Amigurumi butterfly will still fit in one hand, but I’d be curious to see how big it turns out using some chunky yarn… So, make sure to share a pic with me in case you crochet your bee/butterfly with some fun bulky, chenille! Please and thank you π

Assembly & Finishing
If not already flat, flatten the wings following the initial ch-4 (no need to add stuffing!). Then, use the long tails to sew each wing on the sides/back of the body. Choose at what distance to place each wing based on your preference.
Attach the arms to the first round of the body so that they are on the sides/front of the butterfly or bee.
Sew the antlers on top of the head between rounds 4 and 5.
With a length of black embroidery floss, embroider the eyes and the eyebrows.
With a length of A, embroider the nose.
Weave in all your ends.
