The incredible texture of these gloves is given by the Wrapped Arrow Stitch.

You can tell I really love this stitch since I used it in several other patterns. For example, you might remember the Wrapped Arrow Beanie that I shared a while ago.

More recently, I also shared another very easy pattern that is ideal for practicing the wrapped arrow stitch: the Hygge Arrows Headband. This headband is the perfect match for the Hygge Arrow Gloves and would make such a cute Christmas or birthday present for a friend or relative!

  1. Hiya, thanks for sharing this pattern. I’m working on the fingerless gloves right now but cant figure out what I need to do in round 1 of the thumb. What do you mean with sc 1 in the same st as next dc, sc 2 along the post of the next dc?

    Reply
    • Hi,
When you join the yarn in the first st that you skipped on round 7, you’ll have 3 (3, 4) sts free to work, and you place the few first sc sts there.
Then, you’ll find the dc that you made after skipping 3 on round 7, so for the thumb, you place a sc in the same st where you worked that dc.
Then, working along the height (post) of the dc, you make 2 sc, etc.
Please, let me know if this was clear, otherwise, feel free to send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to help further 🙂

  2. Hello 🙂 I’m working through the pattern and I’m totally stumped on the thumb part! I’m really not sure on round 8:
    dc na (na, 1)

I know the notes say na means not applicable, but I’m not sure what that really means! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you 🙂

  3. Hey there! Made a pair of these and love them, however is there a way to make the brim tighter without ruining the stitch count for the rest of the mitten? My brims are loose enough that they don’t touch my wrists.

    Reply
    • Hi, I think that the easiest way is to crochet the brim of the correct size, count the number of rows that you made and see how many sts of difference you have compared to the first round of the glove. Then, when you start crocheting the glove on the side of the brim, place as many increases as you need to get to the number of stitches indicated by the pattern.
I hope this makes sense 🙂

      Best,
      Raffaella
