Looking forward to summer? Make a cute crochet sunflower applique and bring the sun into your home!
These crochet sunflowers work up real quick and are easy peasy to crochet. Fairly small in size, your sunflower applique will be just about 2.2″ (5.5 cm), which is the right flower size for so many creations!
For example, crocheted sunflowers are great for making flower garlands for your home decor or embellishing summer accessories and garments.
Another cool idea is to glue one crochet sunflower applique to a magnet for the fridge or to a greeting card! But you could also use them as earrings and colorful jewelry!

I used size 10 crochet cotton with a # 7 steel crochet hook. The sunflower was about 1 inch. I then crocheted a stem and leaf. I stiffened them, attached the flower to the stem and put earring wires behind the flower. Walla!!! earrings for spring.!!!
