When some colorful spring flowers meet a good old granny square, the result is an absolutely stunning collection of crochet floral granny squares!
Crocheting granny squares can be such a relaxing and mindful activity. Not to talk about the fact that they are great to use up all those leftover scraps of yarn!
However, after a few granny square blankets and jackets, it feels so good to shake things up a little with some unusual granny square patterns!
I personally love peculiar, textured, and unconventional granny squares. When I find one that I like, I simply dive into it and make one myself. This is why I’ve got an ever-growing pile of granny squares that one day – one day! – will become a blanket.
In the meantime, I keep searching the web and collecting these gems to add to my project.
So, today, I would like to share with you my favorite free crochet patterns for floral granny squares.
In this roundup post, you’ll find squares ranging between 7” (18 cm) and 12” (30.5 cm). Later on, I’ll also share some of my favorite floral patterns for smaller squares.
