This ghost washcloth is very easy to crochet also for beginners as it mainly uses single crochet stitches. Besides single crochet, you’ll only need to master half double crochet and double stitches!

Row 2 (WS). Ch 1 (does not count as a st here and throughout), turn. Sc 22, sc inc 3, sc 22. (50 sts)
Row 3. Ch 1, turn. Sc 22, (sc inc 1, sc 1) 3 times, sc 22. (53 sts)

Round 1. Ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc 22 working on the side of rows 22 to 1. Sc 1 in initial ch, sc 22 working on the side of rows 1 to 22 (photo 2). Ch 1, sl st 19, [sl st 1, ch 2, dc 3] in next st, [hdc 1, sc 1] in next st, sl st 35, [sl st 1, ch 14, sl st 1] in next st (hanging loop), sl st 35, [sc 1, hdc 1] in next st, [dc 3, ch 2, sl st 1] in next st, sl st 19, ch 1, sl st 1 in first st to join the round.
Skirt. Ch 2, [dc 3] in each of the next 45 sts, ch 2, sl st in same st as the last group of 3 dc.
Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Eyes
(Make 2)
With B, make a MC.
Round 1. Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc 12, sl st 1 in first st to join the round. (12 sts)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Cheeks
(Make 2)
With C, make a MC.
Round 1. Ch 1 (does not count as a st), hdc 11, sl st 1 in first st to join. (11 sts)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Finishing
Sew the eyes on the side of row 5 in the upper half of the ghost, and the cheeks just below the eyes.
With a length of C, embroider the pupils inside the eyes by making a short stitch in the inner corner of each eye.
With a length of B, embroider the mouth of the ghost.
Weave in all your ends.
