- 2.5-mm (12 UK) Crochet Hook
- Sport (2, Fine) Cotton Yarn
- Tapestry Needle
- A 7″ (18 cm) Stick or Twig

I used Schachenmayr Catania (50 g, 137 yds, 125 m) in the following colors and amounts:
- A – Violet (113) – 30 yds / 27.4 m
- B – Sun (208) – 32 yds / 29.3 m
- C – Black (110) – 38 yds / 34.7 m

Just keep in mind that while in the video I do consider the initial ch-1 as my first st, for this pattern, the first chain does NOT count as a stitch!
Size
5.75” (14.5 cm) by 6.2” (15.5 cm).
Gauge
30 sc for 27 rows in 4” (10 cm) worked in tapestry crochet using 3 strands of yarn.
Pattern Notes
- The pattern is written in 2 sections. The Wall Hanging is worked in rows, the Border in rounds.
- The pattern is worked entirely in sc.
- If the pattern says “(A) 5”, it means that you need to sc 1 in each of the next 5 sts using color A.
- At the end of each row, ch 1 and turn.
- The initial ch 1 does NOT count as a st.
- All odd-numbered rows are crocheted on the right side. All even-numbered rows are crocheted on the wrong side.
- (…) – Repeat the instructions within brackets for the indicated number of times.
- With the exception of the border, the stitch count is always 43 sts.
- The color chart is in the paid PDF pattern.

Fasten off B. Move on to the border using A and C.
Border
Round 1 [RS]. (A, carrying C) Ch 1, sc 41 along the left side switching to C on the side of sts made in color C.
At the corner keep working with C. (C, carrying A) Ch 1, and sc 43 on the bottom side.
Working on the right side, (C) ch 1, sc 2, (A) sc 39. Fasten off C.
(A) Ch 1, sc 43 on the top side. Ch 1, and join the round with a sl st into the first st. (43 sts on top and bottom, 41 sts on left and right sides, 1 ch at each corner).
Fasten off, and weave in all your ends.
Assembly
Using a length of A, sew the top side of the wall hanging to the stick or twig.
For the fringes, cut 43 pieces of C of about 6″ (15 cm), and attach a fringe to each st on the bottom of the wall hanging.
