MATERIALS
- 3.0-mm (D-3 USA, 11 UK) Crochet Hook
- DK (3, Light) Weight Yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK
- Tapestry Needle
Color Reference
You can choose your favorite colors for each round. I will refer to colors as A, B, C, and D.
YARDAGE
11 yds, 10 m per coaster
SIZE
Each coaster measures 3.15” (8 cm).
GAUGE
This pattern is too small to accurately determine the gauge.
CROCHET ABBREVIATIONS (US TERMS)
Ch – Chain
Dc – Double Crochet
Sc – Single Crochet
Sk – Skip
Sl St – Slip Stitch
St – Stitch
Yo – Yarn Over
SPECIAL STITCHES
3-Dc Cluster (3-Dc Cluster)
(Yo and insert your hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops) 3 times in same st, yo and pull through 4 loops.

Pattern Notes
- If the pattern says “hdc 2”, it means that you have to crochet 1 hdc into each of the next 2 sts.
- (…) – Repeat the instruction within brackets for the indicated number of times.

Rounds of Flowers Coasters – Free Crochet Pattern
With A, make a MC.
Round 1. Ch 4 (counts as a dc and a ch-2 space), (dc 1, ch 1) 9 times in the MC. Join the round with a sl st into the third-made ch. (9 dc, 9 ch-1 spaces)
Fasten off A.
Join B in any ch-1 space from Round 1.
Round 2. Ch 2 (counts as the first st of the 3-dc cluster), (3-dc cluster, ch 3) in each ch-1 space from the previous round. Sl st into the top of the first cluster to join. (9 clusters, 9 ch-3 spaces)
Fasten off B.
Join C in any ch-3 space from Round 2.
Round 3. Ch 4 (counts as a dc and a ch-1 space), (dc 1, ch 1) twice more in the first ch-3 space, (dc 1, ch 1) 3 times in each 3-ch space from the previous round. Sl st into the third-made ch to join. (27 dc, 27 ch-1 spaces)
Fasten off C.
Join D in the first ch-1 space from Round 3.
Round 4. Ch 2 (counts as the first st of the 3-dc cluster), 3-dc cluster in same ch-1 space. (Ch 3, 3-dc cluster in next ch-1 space, ch 1, sc 1 in next ch-1 space, ch 1, dc3cluster in next ch-1 space) 8 times, ch 3, 3-dc cluster in next ch-1 space, ch 1, sc 1 in next ch-1 space, ch 1. Sl st into the top of the first cluster to join. (18 3-dc clusters, 9 sc, 9 ch-spaces, 18 ch-1 spaces)
Fasten off and weave in all your ends.
