Learn how to crochet a simple chunky scarf with this quick and easy Log Cabin Infinity Scarf pattern!
This chunky scarf pattern is a quick and easy pattern that is perfect for beginners and more experienced crocheters alike. All you need is your favorite chunky or super chunky yarn and just a few hours!
The pattern gives the direction for styling your chunky scarf as a double-wrap infinity scarf, but you can vary the length of your project as you prefer.
For example, you could make it longer and wear it as a simple scarf, or shorter for a single-wrap cowl!
How to Crochet a Chunky Scarf for Beginners
Chunky scarves are a very rewarding project for beginners. They work up pretty quickly and most of all, it is easy to see the stitches!
The construction is very easy. You start with a foundation chain and keep working the stitch pattern until you reach the desired length.
There are many stitches that are great for crocheting a scarf. For this one, I used the leaping stripes and blocks stitch, which only uses basic double crochet stitches.
The pattern works in multiples of 4.
This means that if you would like to modify the width of your scarf, you simply need to add or subtract 4 stitches from the initial number of chains.
You can crochet your scarf using a single color or go for something more colorful, such as stripes, or color blocks.
