For more info, please, see my&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/raffamusadesigns.com\/privacy-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among all the <a href=\"https:\/\/raffamusadesigns.com\/how-to-join-granny-squares\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">granny square joining methods<\/a>, the flat slip stitch or zipper join is one of my favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s quickly why:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>It is <strong>flat<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No bulk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Done with a <strong>crochet hook<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alright, let&#8217;s see all these points in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pros of the Slip Stitch Join<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What I like the most about the zipper joining is that it is really <strong>flat<\/strong> and unlike the single crochet or <a href=\"https:\/\/raffamusadesigns.com\/whip-stitch-join\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">whip stitch joining<\/a> methods, it does not add any bulk to the final project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if you are joining some squares for a blanket, the squares will lay nice and flat next to each other!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the slip stitch join is done <strong>with a crochet hook<\/strong>! No need to seam pieces together or make estimates of how much yarn you&#8217;ll need.
