The Rectangle Patchwork Granny Square is a fun stash/scrap-busting Afghan block pattern that combines granny stitch rectangles into a picturesque granny square.
This pattern is great for doing a little stash attack and making a dent in the pile of scraps and leftover yarn! And while playing a little destashing, you can incorporate even more colors into your granny sampler blankets and creations.

2024 Granny Sampler Blanket
The Rectangle Patchwork Granny Square is featured in the 2024 Granny Sampler Blanket pattern by Debbie of Madame Stitch.
For this blanket and crochet along (CAL), Debbie invited 11 designers to join her in designing a granny square blanket.
So, each designer contributed a 12″-square pattern to the final blanket for 12 squares in total.
Debbie then added the instructions for joining the squares and crocheting a beautiful border… and voilà, the granny blanket pattern was ready!
The CAL starts on September 30th, 2024 with new squares being released on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the month of October.
How to Join the Granny Blanket CAL
Each new square pattern will be released for free on each designer’s blog, so joining the Granny Blanket CAL is absolutely free!
All you need to do is check the main CAL page HERE and follow the link to the newly released square pattern.
Of course, these patterns are free on the different blogs but you know that blogs come with ads –that’s how most designers can afford to offer “free” patterns!
So, if you’re really annoyed by ads or simply would like to support us, you can get the entire pattern of the Granny Blanket for a very cheap price HERE!
Rectangle Patchwork Pattern
On the featured day of each square pattern, the designer will also offer the single PDF for free or at a discounted price.
The pattern of the Rectangle Patchwork Granny Square will be featured on October 2nd, 2024, and on that day, you can get the pattern for 50% off on Ravelry HERE using the code 2024GRANNY
