How to make a Loop Half Double Crochet ~ on the Right Side!

In this quick tutorial, I’ll show you how I make the loop half double crochet stitch worked on the right side.

For a few patterns that I am working on, I found myself wanting to make a loop half double crochet while working in the round.

This means that I wanted all my loops to be on the right side of my work!

If you’re curious to see where I used this stitch, take a look at my Llama Granny Square on Etsy! The llama is part of a new, small collection of granny squares, the Desert Lullaby Granny Squares.

For now, these patterns are only available in my Etsy shop, but I’ll try to upload them to Ravelry and LoveCrafts as soon as I can.

Normally, when you make a loop stitch, the loop is created on the wrong side of the row you’re crocheting. Then, of course, row after row, you make sure that all the loops are made on the same side, so that you get the effect that you want!

However, what do you do if you are going in rounds, always on the right side?

I tried to search on Google and YouTube but I didn’t seem to find what I was looking for.

So, I came up with my own way of crocheting the loop half double crochet on the right side!
