The crochet Secret Garden Granny Square is the fourth block of the 6″-Flower Squares collection and it features a very delicate floral motif in the center.
This afghan block is named after the novel The Secret Garden by Frances H. Burnett, which was one of my favorite books as a kid.
I must have read The Secret Garden nearly 10 times over the course of my childhood.
For some reason, something in this crochet square reminds me of the delicate flowers blooming behind the locked door of the secret garden, and so there it was the Secret Garden Granny Square!
