The pattern of the Daisy Granny Square is part of the Rainbow Granny Blanket CAL.

Materials
Any yarn with the appropriate hook. I used:
- 4.0-mm (G/6 USA, 8 UK) Hook
- DK (3, Light) Weight Yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK.

Size
The size of your square will vary based on the yarn and hook you use. In the table below, you can see a few sizes I obtained with different yarn/hook combinations!

- If the pattern says “dc 2”, you need to crochet 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts.
- (…) – Repeat the instructions within brackets for the indicated number of times.
- *… – Repeat the instructions from * for the indicated number of times.
- […] – Crochet the instructions within brackets in the same indicated st or sp.
Daisy Granny Square – Free Crochet Pattern
With A, make a MC.
Round 1. Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc 12 in MC. Sl st in first st to join. (12 sts)
Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Join B in any st of round 1.
Round 2
Ch 3 (counts as the first tr of 3-tr cluster, photo 1), complete the first 3-tr cluster as follows: *yo twice, insert hook in same st as joining, yo and pull up a loop. (Yo, pull through 2) twice. Repeat from * twice (3 loops on your hook). Yo, pull through all 3 loops on your hook (photo 2).
Ch 3, 3-tr cluster in next st (photos 3-4). (Ch 3, 3-tr cluster) in each remaining st of round 1. Ch 3, sl st in first ch after first cluster to join (see arrow in photo 5). (12 3-tr clusters, 12 ch-3 sps, photo 6).
Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Round 3
Ch 4 (counts as a dc and a ch-1 sp, photo 7), sk next cluster, [dc 3] in next ch-3 sp (photo 8).
*Ch 1, sk next cluster, [tr 3, ch 2, tr 3] in next ch-3 sp, (ch 1, sk next cluster, [dc 3] in next ch-3 sp) twice (photo 9). Repeat from *3 times. Ch 1, sk next cluster, [tr 3, ch 2, tr 3] in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sk next cluster, [dc 3] in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sk next cluster, [dc 2] in same ch-3 sp as initial ch-4 (photo 10), sl st in third-made ch to join. (6 dc and 6 tr sts on each side, 1 ch-2 sp at each corner)
Fasten off and weave in all your ends.

Daisy Granny Square for the Rainbow Blanket CAL
Assembly
With C, use the mattress stitch to join the 4 daisy granny squares forming a larger square of 2 by 2 daisy squares.
Complete the square
Join C in any ch-2 sp at the corner of the 2-by-2 daisy square you just assembled.
Round 1. Ch 4 (count as a dc and a ch-2 sp), [dc 3] in same ch-2 sp as joining.
Crochet the side as follows: *ch 1, sk 3, [dc 3] in next ch-1 sp. Repeat from * 3 times. Ch 1, sk next 3 tr and ch-2 sp, [dc 3] on the side of the seam, ch 1, sk next ch-2 sp and 3 tr, **[dc 3] in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk 3. Repeat from ** 3 times.
For the corner: [dc 3, ch 2, dc 3] in next ch-2 sp.
Repeat the side and the corner twice more, then the side once more.
In the last corner, [dc 2] in the same ch-2 sp as joining, sl st in third-made ch to join. (27 dc sts and 8 ch-1 per side, 1 ch-2 sp at each corner)
Round 2. Sl st in first corner sp, ch 4, dc 3 in same corner sp. *(Ch 1, sk 3, [dc 3] in next ch-1 sp) 8 times, ch 1, sk 3, [dc 3, ch 2, dc 3] in next ch-2 sp. Repeat from * 3 times. (Ch 1, sk 3, [dc 3] in next ch-1 sp) 8 times, [dc 2] in initial corner sp, sl st in third-made ch to join. (30 dc sts and 9 ch-1 per side, 1 ch-2 sp at each corner)
Fasten off and weave in all your ends.
