How to Mini-C2C Crochet
This afghan block is crocheted with the corner-to-corner (C2C) technique, and you can choose to either use regular C2C or mini-C2C crochet.
If you’re new to C2C crochet, I have a couple of tutorials (+videos!) that can help you with:
- Learning the basics on how to crochet the mini-C2C stitch;
- How to change colors and carry yarn in mini-C2C.
NORDIC WINTER C2C AFGHAN CAL
The Nordic Winter C2C CAL was organized by Erin from Junipers & Oakes, and if you’re just hearing about it, no worries, you still have time to join HERE.
The aim of the CAL is to share with you a set of C2C squares inspired by the Nordic Christmas designs to make your own blanket for the Holidays!

MATERIALS
- 5.5-mm (I/9 US, 5 UK) Crochet Hook
- Aran (4, Medium) Weight Yarn
- Tapestry Needle
Size
You can choose to crochet this pattern using either the mini-C2C stitch or the regular C2C. Find below the size of the finished square with the 2 techniques:
- Mini-C2C – 12″ (30.5 cm)
- Regular C2C – 17″ (43 cm)
Gauge
- Mini-C2C – 8 blocks in 4″ (10 cm)
- Regular C2C – 6 blocks in 4″ (10 cm)

I used Sylecraft Special Aran in the following colors and amounts:
